This now looks like it may happen, as Strauss-Kahn has now been released from "home detention"
The case against him is apparently collapsing like a house of cards..

It seems to me that the people who set this up would not want this to go to court.
DSK is not going to plead guilty so that means the maid is going to be put in the witness box. Too much risk of it all coming out in the open and there would be too many people with too much to lose who are complicit in this scam
So the court case ain't gunna happen.

But I bet now, that he will be in the race for the French presidency!! after all the main goal was the restructuring of the IMF, and now, with auspicious timing, lagarde has been chosen and this restructring can take place behind the veneer of respectability.
DSK is free to persue election and maybe his "reward" for the humiliation and degradation is the presidency??
